Overview

ABI-PCM2 is an advanced MIL-STD-1553 operation designed for use in portable notebook environments. This unit is flown routinely on the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle to troubleshoot bus problems in space. The ABI-PCM2 provides a flexible, full function, single channel, dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 interface to the PCMCIA backplane, allowing concurrent and independent operation of a Bus Controller (BC), 31 Remote Terminals (RT), and dual function Bus Monitor (BM).
